Hello! One of my hobbies is obsessing over certain characters in hit MMO Final Fantasy XIV and scraping together every tidbit of information on them by reading different translations of the game text. I've done a few translations from German back to English myself, so this is an attempt to compile them for easier reading.
A little about me: I'm a native English speaker, living and working in Germany for 8 years. Translations may not be 100% perfect, but anything I'm unsure of has been cross-checked by my native speaker husband! I tend to go more for keeping the "feel" of the dialog than being completely literal, though. I try to include the original German text so you can make your own interpretations.

As of now, I've translated the big cutscenes (50, 70, 80) since that was the most readily available. With the addition of NG+, I may update with some partial translations of the in-between quests in the future!
As a general note, the German journals unfortunately lack any of the embellishment that the English ones have, so they aren't included.
